A 'half grotto, half man-cave' Betfair Santa's Grotto in Covent Garden.
The Brief
Give Christmas shoppers a grotto with a twist: half traditional Santa experience, half man-cave games room, with members of the public challenging an in-house Santa for electronics prizes.
Our Approach
Our team applied a log-lap timber facade to the building exterior for that authentic ski-lodge look, then added an alpine-themed vinyl above the lodge frame to set the scene in the snowy mountains. Fake snow was layered along the exterior ledges and surrounding floor. Inside, ship-lapped wood walls and a custom-built fireplace held the traditional grotto identity, before the man-cave layer added football shirts, TVs, neon signs, sofas, an arcade machine and a games library from Jenga to FIFA.
