The Winter House 6m Gold Christmas Tree | Stones Nest, London
A 6 metre gold Christmas tree built inside a Grade II listed Shaftesbury Avenue chapel, clad with gold vinyl boards and 450 crinkled foamex triangles to refract light.

The Brief
Design and build a sculptural gold Christmas tree tall enough to anchor a former chapel interior, with a fast lead time and zero ability to drill into the listed walls.
Our Approach
Our in-house designer reworked the client's concept into a buildable structure that our workshop carpenters could fabricate inside the available window. We collaborated with scaffolding partner Overlay to engineer a freestanding 6 metre internal frame that carried all the load without touching the listed fabric. The frame was clad in gold-vinyl-wrapped boards, then dressed with 450 individually crinkled foamex triangles, each finished in gold vinyl with a 30 percent crinkle effect to refract light across the chapel walls.
